Fansly Live uses external broadcasting software or a mobile app that supports RTMP. Creators connect their broadcasting tool to Fansly with the Stream Server and private Stream Key from the Streaming Settings page.
Choose broadcasting software
Fansly’s current setup guide references OBS Studio for desktop and RTMP-capable mobile apps such as PRISM, Streamlabs Mobile or Larix Broadcaster.
Protect the Stream Key
The Stream Key acts like a private credential for the broadcast connection. Fansly explicitly warns creators not to share it. If someone else gains access, reset it before streaming again.
Set viewer permissions
Fansly Live permissions can restrict a stream to subscribers, users who have tipped, people who purchased media, selected private Lists or other supported access rules. If no permissions are set, the stream is available to logged-in Fansly users.
Configure chat
A creator can generate a live chat room and control who can participate. Current options include charging per message, requiring an active subscription or tip, or limiting chat access to selected groups.
Use Stream Goals
Fansly allows creators to set a title, description and target amount for a Stream Goal. Contributions update the goal during the live broadcast.
Streaming content rules still apply
Fansly says live content must follow the same platform restrictions that apply to uploaded content. Creators also need rights to third-party material such as music or game content used in a stream.
Best Creators tip: test permissions before going live
Confirm the stream key, server, audience permissions and chat settings before starting the broadcast. Fansly notes that permission changes made after going live may require the broadcast to be stopped and restarted.
