Fansly uses locked media, often called PPV, for one-time content purchases. A creator can sell locked content in posts or direct messages and can combine a purchase price with other access rules.
Where Fansly PPV can appear
Fansly’s current creator documentation says locked media can be sold inside posts and in direct messages. Both use the same underlying media-permission system.
Creators set access with permissions
Fansly permissions can use conditions such as following, subscribing, tipping or paying a one-time price. Creators can offer several alternative ways to unlock a piece of media or require multiple conditions at the same time.
For example, a creator can allow a subscriber to buy an item at one price while offering a different one-time price to someone who is not subscribed.
Purchased media is different from tipped-for media
Fansly distinguishes a media purchase from content unlocked through a tip. Its current permissions documentation says purchased media remains available to the buyer even if permissions later change or the creator account is deleted, while content unlocked only through a tip can behave differently.
Where buyers find purchased content
After a completed media purchase, Fansly says the item is unlocked immediately and saved in the buyer’s Purchases collection. Transaction History can also identify an entry as a media purchase.
Subscription access and PPV can overlap
Fansly allows creators to combine subscription and purchase conditions. This means an active subscription does not automatically mean every locked item is included with the subscription.
Best Creators tip: use the lock details before paying
Open the lock or access information on the post before buying. The displayed permissions tell you whether the item is included through following or subscribing, requires a one-time purchase, or uses a combination of conditions.
This is a Best Creators editorial recommendation based on Fansly’s documented permission system.
