Fansly gives creators several privacy controls that affect who can find a profile, who can see timeline content and how sensitive media appears. The most important settings live under Settings → Privacy & Safety.
Timeline permissions control who can see your feed
Timeline visibility is separate from the permissions used to unlock individual media. A creator can require a user to follow, subscribe or meet another condition before the timeline itself is visible.
Be careful when disabling the Follow button
Fansly specifically warns creators to review any timeline rule that requires Following if the Follow button has been disabled. Otherwise you can create a profile state that new visitors cannot satisfy.
Internal discovery can stay active with a hidden timeline
Fansly currently offers an option called internal discovery when the timeline is hidden. This can allow eligible posts to participate in platform discovery while the full timeline remains restricted.
Geoblocking can target countries, states, cities or regions
In Privacy & Safety you can add blocked locations. Fansly says users in blocked areas will not see your profile in search or on the FYP and will receive an error when attempting to open the profile directly.
Block only as broadly as necessary
Fansly recommends being specific. Blocking a whole country or large region can reduce discovery much more than blocking a city or smaller area.
Sensitive-content filters are separate controls
Fansly offers filters for DMs and site-wide browsing. These affect how potentially sensitive content is blurred for the account using the filter and are separate from creator geoblocking.
Best Creators tip: test your privacy setup after every major change
After changing Follow, timeline or geoblocking settings, check the profile from the perspective of a logged-out visitor and a normal follower if possible. Privacy settings are powerful enough to reduce reach unintentionally.
