Fanvue separates free followers from paying subscribers. The Follow for Free feature lets a fan stay connected to a creator without paying for a subscription, while subscriber-only content requires an active paid subscription.
What Fanvue followers can access
When Follow for Free is enabled, followers can see content the creator has made available to followers and can receive updates. Fanvue also allows creators to decide whether followers can send messages.
Followers can view post captions and may be able to purchase pay-per-view content that a creator makes available to followers and subscribers. They cannot access content that is restricted to subscribers only.
What subscribers receive
Fanvue subscriptions provide recurring paid access to a creator’s subscriber-only posts and media. Fanvue also lists direct messaging as a subscription benefit, subject to the creator’s messaging settings.
Subscriptions currently run in 30-day billing cycles from the first payment. Access remains active until the end of the current paid period if the subscription is cancelled.
Pay-per-view is separate from a subscription
Fanvue states that PPV purchases are separate one-off payments and are not automatically included in a subscription. Purchased PPV content can remain available after a subscription ends unless the creator removes that media.
Creators can disable Follow for Free
Fanvue enables Follow for Free by default, but creators can turn the feature off in their profile settings. This means not every Fanvue creator profile will necessarily offer free following.
Best Creators tip: compare follower access with the paid offer
If a creator allows free followers, use the public/follower experience to understand the profile before deciding whether the paid subscription benefits are relevant to you. Always check the creator’s current subscription offer and individual PPV labels.
This is a Best Creators editorial recommendation, not a Fanvue guarantee about creator content or value.
