Fansly messaging includes one-to-one DMs, mass messages and automated messages. Creators can also attach media, locked text and voice notes, while privacy and DM permissions determine who can contact them.
Direct message threads
Creators can open a conversation from a fan profile or search for a user in Messages. Fansly currently supports media bundles, locked text, voice notes and GIFs inside a chat.
DM permissions control who can message you
If a fan cannot message a creator, Fansly says the cause may be a permission requirement such as an active subscription, a tip threshold or another privacy setting. Creators should review DM Permissions and Privacy Settings when troubleshooting this.
Mass messages can target audience groups
Fansly mass messages can be sent to groups such as current subscribers, expired subscribers, followers or creator-defined Lists. They can also be scheduled rather than sent immediately.
Automated messages use triggers
Fansly’s current automation system supports triggers including a new follower, new subscriber, gift-link subscriber, subscription renewal and qualifying tips. Creators can set delays, cooldowns and tier- or tip-specific conditions.
Automated messages can contain more than text
Fansly allows automated messages to include text, media, locked text and voice notes. Automated sends do not create a new inbox thread by themselves.
Best Creators tip: use automation for consistency, not impersonation
Automated welcome flows are useful for repetitive first-contact messages, but keep one-to-one conversations genuinely personal. Use automations to support your workflow rather than pretending every automated send was written manually in real time.
